The Cannaregio is perhaps the least known area of Venice - a working class area where you'll still see working boats at the quays. But it's full of culture, too, with Tintoretto's local church, fine palaces and an unfinished huge Scuola by Renaissance architect Sansovino. We finish in the Gesuiti, a baroque church which contains one of Titian's greatest paintings, a meditation on the nature of light.
