This tour starts in Saint Mark's square, centre of Venetian rule and glory, and takes you through back streets and fine piazzas to San Zanipolo where so many of the doges are buried. On the way we see fine Venetian painting, baroque architecture, renaissance and gothic churches - and we learn about some of the macabre secrets of the city.
